Aurangabad, Dec 10:

As many as 2,909 students confirmed their admissions in the second round of Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of eleventh class in the city.

It may be noted that the admission process which was halted in September resumed in the last week of November. The selection list of 5,044 candidates for the second CAP round was declared on December 5.

The candidates who were allotted first preference college were asked to confirm the admission compulsorily. The students who were given preference from two to ten number were allowed to confirm admission or wait for the next round.

The vacancy list was released on Thursday for the third round. Students can submit option form up to December 12. The allotment list will be displayed on December 15.

Earlier, a total of 6,024 students confirmed the admissions in the first round in colleges which fall in the jurisdiction of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation. Nearly 8,739 candidates were selected for the round. There are 116 colleges in the city with the intake of 31,465 seats for the academic year 2020-21. A total of 25,775 had registered, while 20,368 verified it.
