Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has introduced a Gunthewari Scheme to convert unauthorized properties into authorized ones. Under this scheme, 50 per cent of the regularisation fee will be collected from April to June (means there will be 50 per cent discount). After this, from July to September, a 25 per cent discount will be provided. Citizens will have to pay 75 pc of the regularisation amount. Municipal Commissioner G Sreekanth has urged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity.

Following government guidelines, the CSMC has prepared a fee structure for the regularisation of unauthorised properties. For residential properties, a decision was made to charge 50 pc of the Ready Reckoner (RR) rates as the fee for regularisation. By the end of March, the regularisation scheme had successfully collected Rs 53 crore.

The civic chief had decided to provide a 50 pc discount on the regularisation fee only until March 31. On Wednesday, G. Srikanth mentioned that the scheme would be extended starting from April 1. For the first three months, a 50 pc fee will be charged, followed by a 25 pc discount on the fee for the next three months. Citizens are appealed to take advantage of the regularisation scheme. Furthermore, property owners whose land has been moved from the Green Zone to the Yellow Zone in the new Development Plan will also be eligible for land regularisation, said G Sreekanth.

Reservation lifted

In the Garkheda area’s Bhushannagar, the municipal corporation had previously placed a reservation for a commercial complex. On Wednesday, citizens from this area met with the municipal commissioner. Upon reviewing the new development plan, it was observed that the reservation had been lifted. This decision provided significant relief to the citizens.
