Aurangabad, Nov 29:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Sunday morning repaired 700 water pipeline which supplies water to the old city areas.

It may be noted that the pipeline was burst near the divisional office of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Railway Station Road on Thursday.

It had to replace a large piece of a pipeline which was not available in the district. A special team was sent to Dhule bring that large piece. Employees of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran were called to join the part. The repair work began on Friday evening. After two days of continuous efforts, the work completed in this early morning. The Civic Body employees heaved a sigh of relief.

The testing of the pipeline was carried after the repair work. The supplied from the pipeline was stopped for four days. This caused inconvenience to the citizens. Those areas which were deprived of water were supplied today. There was not much hue and cry as another 1400 mm pipeline was being used to supply other areas.
