Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) held a peaceful protest for five hours against the mismanagement of the Examination Department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the ABVP office-bearers said that due to the negligence of the university, students from poor and ordinary families are suffering huge financial and mental losses.

A large number of students have failed due to the examination department not properly evaluating the answer sheets of students of the B Sc-Forensic Science and BBA.

“Even before the results of the re-evaluation are out, the backlog papers started. As the students have not received the photocopies of the answer sheets, which are supposed to be received within seven days as per the rules, for two months, the students have not been able to apply for revaluation,” they said.

The university administration has not taken any decision on this despite giving two statements in the past. The university administration tried to quell the protest held by ABVP yesterday. ABVP has strongly condemned this repression. Without solving the problems of the students, the university administration called the police who detained the agitators with inhumane treatment. Vaibhavi Dhivre and others were present at the briefing.
