What can you do to avoid a waiting list?

Book your tickets at least 2 months in advance. Use the Tatkal quota. Gather information about available trains from other cities and locations. Book your tickets through official online portals.

How many months in advance can tickets be booked?

Earlier, railway tickets could be booked up to 120 days in advance. However, from November 1, 2024, the booking period has been reduced to only 60 days in advance.

Some trains heading to Mumbai have a waiting list until March 10. Following that, the Sachkhand Express going to Delhi is also on the waiting list. Trains to Hyderabad and other routes are filling up quickly as well.
