Aurangabad, Nov 7:

The Nagrik Mitra Pathak of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has collected a fine of Rs 1 lakh in two days from irresponsible citizens for not wearing masks, throwing garbage or building material waste on the road. The squad collected fine on November 6 and 7.

The squad collected a fine of Rs 2,100 from people spitting on the road, Rs 18,500 from people roaming without wearing masks and Rs 8,300 from people throwing garbage on streets. The squad also collected a fine of Rs 5,000 from Prahlad WineShop in Paithan Gate, Rs 3,500 from Jaiveer Textiles in Shahgunj, Rs 2,000 from Aurangabad Sale Bazaar, Rs 1,000 from Mirza Baig in City Chowk and Rs 10,000 from Chikalthana MIDC''s Homited Services for using banned plastic carry bags in their establishments.

The civic team also fined Rs 5,000 when the building material waste of Udaysingh Rajput was found spread on the road in Bansilalnagar. The civic team also collected Rs 21,500 for people throwing garbage in front of the establishments and shops.
