Applications process for ‘RTE’ admissions starts
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The admission process on the seats reserved under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE) will commence on February 17.
A total of 25 per cent seats reserved for children from weaker and disadvantaged sections in self-financed schools and unaided schools. The registration process is being implemented online for the year 2026-27.
The School Education Department informed that the process of filling the relevant applications for this is being made available to the parents of the children on this website from February 17 to March 10, 2026.
It includes children from disadvantaged groups, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Nomadic Tribes, OBC, Special Backward Classes, Economically and Socially Backward Classes, HIV infected or affected children, orphaned children, disabled children or Covid affected children. Children whose parents' annual income is less than 1 lakh in a financial year are included in the economically weaker group.

Schools to be visible on portal
Parents of children will see schools (airline distance) less than one km from their place of residence on the RTE portal. In view of this, 10 schools should be carefully selected for the process, necessary documents should be attached while applying, accurate information should be filled, and a complete application should be filled within the prescribed time limit. If there is any problem during the admission process, information about help centers is given on the RTE portal, and the problem can be resolved by contacting them.
