Aurangabad, Jan 8:

The government on Friday approved the creation of 219 posts required in the first phase for the super-speciality block hospital in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The patients hope for a speedy recruitment drive and start of patient service at the super-speciality ward.

In all 1,847 posts will be filled in 3 phases for super-speciality hospitals in Akola, Yavatmal, Latur and Aurangabad. The government approved the creation of 888 posts in the first phase. This includes 219 posts of Class-I to Class-4 of the super-speciality block in the GMCH. Dean Dr Kanan Yelikar said that the approval of the post is important for the commencement of the patient service. The officer on special duty of super speciality block Dr Sudhir Chaudhary said, it is worth mentioning here that Dr Yelikar constantly pursued the post at the government level. If the recruitment process is done quickly by the selection board, the patients can get specialized treatment at the hospital. A separate budget must be approved for super speciality hospitals. The proposal will be sent to the government for approval soon so that the daily expenses of the hospital, as well as the salary, can be met.
