Aurangabad, June 10:

In the meeting of Zilla Parishad Social Welfare Committee, 694 development works were finally approved to be carried out from the funds of Rs 33.46 crore. A fund of Rs 30 crore has been sanctioned for 2021-22 and proposals have been invited from the block development officers for allotment of funds.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of social welfare committee chairperson Monali Rathod, various development works worth Rs 33.46 crore were sanctioned. Under the scheduled castes and Neo-Buddhist Ghatak Vasti Vikas Yojana, a proposal for sanction of 694 different works from the fund for the year 2020-21 was presented in the meeting. District social welfare officer Shiv Prasad Kendra informed that the five year development plan of the gram panchayat includes the work of approved side roads, construction of gutters, water supply, internal roads, power supply and social halls. At present, the proposal is with the finance department and after its approval, additional chief executive officer Santosh Kawade will give administrative approval for the work.

Highest funding to Aurangabad tehsil

The funds of Rs 6.89 crore are approved for 136 works in Aurangabad tehsil, Kannad Rs 4.47 crore for 84 works, Soygaon Rs 1.92 crore for 37 works, Sillod Rs 3.62 crore for 76 works, Paithan Rs 4.31 crore for 94 works, Gangapur Rs 5.10 crore for 106 works, Vaijapur Rs 3.60 crore for 81 works, Rs 2.34 crore for 46 works in Phulambri tehsil and Rs 1.50 crore for 34 works in Khultabad tehsil.
