Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of Aurangabad Tourism Development Foundation (ATDF), Sunit Kothari, has urged Indigo Airlines to reinstate the flight to Ahmedabad from the city and also enhance the frequency of Bengaluru flights from the city during the tourist season.

It may be noted that the airline is withdrawing its Ahmedabad flight from December 1. Kothari stated that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) is a fast-growing industrial hub and the Tourism Capital of Maharashtra, therefore, it deserves better connectivity, especially during a period marked by heightened demand due to weddings, MICE events, and increased social travel.

The decision of the airline would pose an inconvenience to the loyal customers and test their patience at a time when seamless travel options are most crucial. Hence ATDF strongly urge the airlines to reconsider its decisions and restore the Ahmedabad-Aurangabad-Aurangabad sector immediately, as well as enhance the frequency of the Bengaluru-Aurangabad-Bengaluru sector, stated the press release.
