Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The aspirants of B Ed-four-year-integrated courses will have to appear for the new entrance test in the State for the academic year 2025-26.
It may be noted that the State Common Entrance Test Cell (SCETC) was used to conduct the CET for BA/B Sc Ed-four-year-integrated courses until 2024.
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) abolished the BA/B Sc B Ed course and launched a new four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) course for admissions.
So, the CET Cell will not conduct any entrance tests for the academic year 2025-26.
The NCTE decided to give admissions to the ITEP through the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the online NCET in 13 languages on April 29 for the admissions of the new ITEP course.

The names of the examination cities in the State are as follows; Akola, Amravati, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nanded, Nashik, Pune, Satara, Solapur, Thane and Wardha.

Test pattern will have objective type with multiple choice questions. There will be 181 MCQs based seven sections including langauges. The candidates will have to attempt 160 questions.

The syllabus has two sections. One is a general test and another teaching aptitude
--General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Environmental Literacy. --Teaching Aptitude: Topics related to the teaching of Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts and Languages.

The 4-year integrated course will be a dual-major holistic bachelor’s degree, in Education as well as a specialised subject (such as language, history, music, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, economics, art, physical education, etc.). Beyond the teaching of cutting-edge
pedagogy, the teacher's education will include a grounding in sociology, history, science, psychology, early childhood care and education, foundational literacy and numeracy, knowledge of India and its values, ethos, art and traditions.
