Bag containing valuables of Rs 1.30L stolen during bus journey

Aurangabad, Dec 30:

Kranti Chowk police have registered a case against unidentified thief for stealing a woman''s bag containing valuables worth Rs 1.30 lakh during private bus journey between Mumbai and Newasa. The case is transferred to Newasa police for further investigation.

Police inspector G H Darade said, " The complainant Ranjana Shirsaat boarded Dolphin Travels bus in Mumbai to arrive in Aurangabad on December 28 at 10 pm. She had kept three bags near the seat. She fell asleep during the journey, but when she woke up at Newasa, the lady noticed that the bag was stolen. She immediately alerted the bus driver and the helper and told them to take to the nearest police station, but they did not. After all, passengers got down in Aurangabad; the driver took the bus to Kranti Chowk police station. She complained that the stolen bag contains jewellery of valuing Rs 1 lakh and cash Rs 30,000.
