The district collector Sunil Chavan today inaugurated a free Covid-19 vaccination camp for the workers of Bajaj Auto Company (Waluj industrial estate), on the company campus, at 11 am. The family members of these workers will also be given the vaccine free of cost.
The advisor of Janki Devi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha, C P Tripathi, vice presidents of Bajaj Auto Abhay Patki and Suhas Kulkarni, divisional manager Anil Mohite, manager Sachin Thale, Pradeep Gunjal, Vijay Tiwatne, Zilla Parishad's chief executive officer Dr. Mangesh Gondavale and others were present on the occasion.
While inaugurating the vaccination camp, the district collector, underlined the need for people's participation in freeing Aurangabad from Coronavirus. " The state government is taking utmost measures to control the Coronavirus. Hence the citizens should abide by the orders released under Break the Chain. The district had set a target to administer the vaccine to 33 lakh persons in the district, out of which, the administration has completed vaccinating to 5.50 lakh citizens," said Sunil Chavan applauding the company for vaccinating its workers and their family members.
ZP-CEO also applauded the company for organising the vaccination for the workers and their dependents.
Tripathi revealed that the company has decided to vaccinate the workers of all its plants in the country along with their family members. The company has arranged free vaccination for them. Hence the vaccination will be done to all 4,000 workers of the Waluj unit and their family members (total beneficiaries 15,000).
