Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) has formed a committee to probe the B.Com final year paper leaking case.
It may be noted that the university started holding the undergraduate courses summer session examination on April 7. The students of B.Com appeared for the 'Direct Taxes' subject paper, which was conducted between 2 pm and 5 pm, on Saturday.
Even before the commencement of the examination, its question paper went viral on social media even before the examination. It was found on the mobile phones of some students near an examination centre at Khokadpura. The mobile phones of 10 students were seized.
After the examination centre staff came outside and began questioning some students, it became evident that the question paper had been leaked. Subsequently, 10 students' mobile phones were seized.
A two-member committee comprising Dr Deepak Pachpatte and Dr Purushottam Deshmukh was then appointed for inquiry. Director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation, Dr B N Dole, said that this committee visited the college on Monday.
He said that strict action would be taken against the guilty after the committee's report. The centre may face music on receiving the report.
