Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Two youths from Amthana died, and two others were critically injured in a bike accident near Jambhai village. The incident occurred around 1 am on Friday when the four were returning from the Tukai Devi fair in Jambhai.

The deceased have been identified as Akash Wagh (19, Pimpalgaon Ghat, presently living in Amthana) and Vishal Gayasamindre (24, Amthana). The injured are Ritesh Salve (18) and Aniket Jagtap (16).

All four friend had gone to Jambhai for the Tukai devi fair on Friday. While returning home the bike crashed into an RO plant wall near Jambhai. Local residents rushed the injured to Sillod rural hospital, where Vishal and Akash were declared dead. The others are receiving treatment. The bodies of Akash and Vishal were cremated at Amthana on Saturday. Akash, an orphan raised by his aunt, Rekha Kharat, is survived by her. Vishal is survived by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
