"The Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (BJS) worked spontaneously not only in Maharashtra but also in four states during the Covid-19 crisis. This saved thousands of lives and helped reduce mortality" said Shantilal Mutha, BJS founder president while addressing an online state-level convention recently.
Mutha said, "During April 1 to June 22, more than 14 lakh patients were examined through 191 mobile dispensary vans. Out of which 19,171 corona patients were found. Apart from that, the organization also worked in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat during the Corona period. Under Mission Zero, 4.5 lakh citizens underwent antigen and RT PCR tests and 33,000 corona positive patients were admitted for treatment. In the value addition program for school children, value education was imparted to 4.5 lakh students through 67,000 schools and 1.95 lakh teachers. The Sujalam Sufalam drought relief mission was carried out in 7,400 villages in seven districts of Maharashtra and Karnataka." Gautam Sancheti said that now there is a need to increase the connectivity of the society. Aurangabad district president Kishore Lalvani was felicitated for his outstanding work. Tansukh Zambad, Mithalal Kankaria, Marathwada president Paras Chordia, Anil Sancheti, Rahul Zambad, Pravin Kala, Sanjay Bhansali and Rahul Dashrathe were present on the occasion.
