Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A man brutally killed his elder brother with an iron rod and tried to attack his brother’s wife in Osmanpura on Sunday morning, October 19. The incident happened between 6.30 and 7 am. The accused has been arrested and sent to police custody until October 21.

The deceased, Santosh Khajekar (38, Mhada Colony, Gangapur), was attacked by his brother-in-law Baliram Jagdhane(Ranjangaon Shenpunji, MIDC Waluj, Osmanpura). Santosh had returned home after night duty, unaware that Baliram was coming back. When Baliram saw him, he pushed Santosh down and struck his head with an iron rod. He also tried to hit Santosh’s wife with a bicycle. Santosh’s son was informed of the attack by the accused’s wife. He rushed home to find his father in a pool of blood. Police inspector Sangram Tate, arrived immediately and took Santosh to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. The case is registered at Osmanpura Police Station.
