Aurangabad, April 9:

The Central Government team is in the city to conduct a field assessment for the Cleanliness Survey 2021. The team comprising eight members visited commercial areas and the residential areas adjoining it on Thursday. However, today (Friday), the team members, by keeping the AMC officials in guessing, visited many residential areas.

It so happened that the team members informed the Solid Waste Management (SWM) cell of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) that they will be visiting the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Kanchanwadi today. As a result, the civic officials deployed their staff in the morning, but the team did not turn up till the evening. Instead, the team members visited residential areas in the city. During the interactions with the citizens, in different areas, they questioned whether the garbage in the area is lifted daily, whether Ghanta Gadi is used to transport segregated garbage, the work schedule of sanitary workers etc. The team members jotted down the on-the-spot feedback given by the citizens during the interactions.

Meanwhile, the AMC officials and personnel were seen a little bit tense for the reasons better known to them during the whole day.
