Aurangabad, Nov 2:

Some women and youths created s chaotic situation at Harsul Garbage Processing Centre on Monday after a case was registered against three youths.

It may be noted that the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) started the process of establishing Garbage Processing Unit in Harsul. The land besides Saungi like belongs to AMC. Some people were trying to create hurdles in the development of garbage centre for the past three months.

The civic body continued the work in police bandobast. Even after this, some youths and women were trying to stop the work frequently. AMC administrator Astik Kumar Pandey visited the centre four days ago to take the review of the work. Three youths came there and had arguments with Astik Pandey. They manhandled a security employee of the commissioner four days ago.

The contractor started levelling the ground on Monday. After a while, a group of women entered there and started abusing the employees of the contractor. Some of the youths manhandled the employees also.

Presence of police brought the situation under control. But, the youths have threatened the employees of dire consequences. The civic body teams lodged a complaint against the three youths.

The residents also met the officers in the AMC this afternoon and claimed that the land belongs to them.

The delegation informed the officers to measure their land and used it. The land record department of the civic body would measure land. No officer turned up at the Centre on Monday when there was a chaotic situation.
