Aurangabad, Nov 28:

More cheating complaints against Ashok Sahebrao Vaidya came to fore in which he cheated unemployed youths of lakhs of rupees with the fake promise of gaining government jobs in Indian Railways and Youth International Scouts and Guides to them. The information has come forward that he has cheated the youth of Rs 70 lakhs until now.

The economic offence cell arrested the suspended government employee Ashok Chavan for duping the educated unemployed youths by luring them of gaining government jobs. The court has extended his police remand now. As the news of the arrest of Vaidya spread, several youths are approaching the police with the complaints of cheating. Until now, 10 such youths have come forward with the complaints against Vaidya. It is found that he has cheated these youths of Rs 70 lakh. Vaidya also appointed around 6 to 7 employees at his office in Aurangabad city and duped them of money with the false promises of jobs. Under the guidance of PI, Ajay D S Shingare, PSI Ajay Suryawanshi, hawaldar Vitthal Mankape and Mahesh Ugale are investigating the case.

Meanwhile, Vaidya’s wife and mother had fled away from the city after his arrest. A police team had gone to his house, but the house was locked. Their mobile phones are also switched off.

Vaidya had given a forged appointment letter to a youth as TC in the Indian railways. The police are investigating that from where he had gained these appointment letters. Similarly, the complainant youth met some persons at railway office at Delhi and Bihar. The officers will go there to investigate who these persons were, the sources said.
