Chhatrapati Sambhajingar: “In the present time, Chemistry is at the forefront of innovation and plays an important role in dealing with global challenges like climate change, healthcare and sustainable energy,” said Capt Dr Suresh Gaikwad, former head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).

He was speaking in a programme organised at Sir Sayyed College to felicitate on the completion of superannuation. Dr Shamama Parveen (chairperson, Rehber, Educational, Cultural and Welfare Society) presided over the function while Dr Anjali Rajbhoj (professor, Department of Chemistry, Bamu was the guest of honour. Dr. Shamama Parveen and College Principal Dr Shaih Kabeer Ahmed also spoke. Dr Nisargandh Siddharth and Dr Shaikh Mohd Azhar conducted the proceedings.
