City industry forges international tie-up, aims at full vehicle component manufacturing

Nahar Industrial Group has entered a strategic joint venture with Italy’s Saga Group, marking a significant step in expanding the city’s industrial footprint in the automotive sector. The venture, to operate under the name Saga Nahars Autotech India Pvt. Ltd., will focus on designing and manufacturing advanced two-wheeler and four-wheeler components for markets across Asia and Europe. The partnership is expected to attract major automotive players and investments to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The Nahar Group will also expand its product portfolio to include hydraulic tubes for electric and internal combustion vehicles, exhaust manifolds, and rubber hoses. The move reflects a renewed focus on in-house design and production, with an emphasis on enhancing global competitiveness.

The local industrial sector is preparing for a new phase of growth, with plans to produce all major components for two-wheelers and four-wheelers domestically. This initiative is expected to strengthen self-reliance and generate additional employment opportunities in the city.
