Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Various programmes like Powada, lectures, and processions will be organised at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on February 18 and 19 to celebrate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti.

Director of Student Development Dr Kailash Ambhure said a powada programme by Shivshahir Sainath Ingle would be organised at 5 pm on February 18. A procession will be taken from the statute of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar to the statue of Shivaji Maharaj on campus, from 8 am to 10 am, on February 19.

The main programme will be held on the lawns located in front of the administrative building. Noted writer and thinker Dr Prakas Pawar will deliver a lecture on February 19.

Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari will preside over the functions. Pro-vice chancellor Dr Walmik Sarwade, management council member Dr Ravikiran Sawant and Dr Aparna Patil will also grace the event. Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar and Dr Kailas Ambhure appealed to all to participate in the programmes.
