Aurangabad, Oct 29:

Various programmes will be organised in the city on October 30 to celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

Every year a big procession is taken out here. However, the procession was cancelled this year due to the spread of Novel coronavirus. Main roads in old city area were illuminated.

Coordinator of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi Dr Shaikh Murtuza said that the State Government had not permitted for religious programmes.

He said that police administration informed the organising committee not to hold any public programme, so, members of the community would celebrate the festival at home on Friday. Main roads of the city were illuminated.

Meal and sharbat will be served to poor and needy people on the festival. He urged the citizens to cooperate with the administration and celebrate the festival at home.

Meanwhile, Youth Wing of Jamat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) will conduct mega blood donation camp at four places-Yunus Colony, Lal Masjid-Town Hall, Paithan Gate Circle and Chikalthana- between 10 am and 7.30 pm on Friday. The Youth Wing district office-bearers urged people to donate blood on the occasion.
