Aurangabad, Feb 9:

Vice-chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) Dr Pramod Yeole said that the digital studio would have management on corporate style.

The digital studio is being developed in the Bamu at the cost of Rs 6 crore and its completion work is at the final stage.

VC Dr Yeole visited the studio recently. Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath, executive engineer Ravindra Kale, Journalism Department head Dr Dinkar Mane and others were present.

He inspected the studio building and issued instructions for the shift of Journalism department to the Studio. The construction work of the studio is at the final stage. Public Works Department soon hand over the studio to the university.

The studio project was sanction to Bamu as part of its golden jubilee celebration. The Government provided Rs 2 crore fund for the project. The university had sent a revised proposal of Rs 8.40 crore to the Government as the development cost increases with each passing year.

The then department Dr Sudhir Gavhane got approved the project from late Vilasrao Deshmukh. The university spent Rs 6 crore so far.

A proposal to name after former chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh was already approved in the Senate.
