Aurangabad, Nov 24:

The district administration held a meeting on farmers suicide on Tuesday. District collector Dr Sunil Chavan urged the officers to create awareness among farmers to be away from ending life.

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Dr Mangesh Gondawale, assistant superintendent of police Gorakh Bhamre, resident deputy collector Sanjiv Jadhvar, district deputy registrar (cooperatives) Anilkumar Dabshede, agriculture officer Dr Tukaram Mote were present.

A discussion was held on 17 cases of farmers, while 15 of them found eligible for financial aid. Sunil Chavan issued orders to provide to the kith and kin of family of deceased farmers.
