A thief swiftly stole a 4.3-tola gold chain from a woman’s purse while she was shopping in Rangar Galli for a relative’s wedding. The theft occurred on the evening of recently at around 5 pm.

Suman Kale (55) had gone shopping for her nephew’s wedding in Rangar Galli. She had kept a 4.37-tola gold chain in her purse to wear at the wedding. While shopping at a clothing store in the area, she noticed that her purse’s zipper was open. Upon checking, she found that the gold chain was missing. There have been several incidents of theft targeting shoppers in Rangar Galli, Paithan Gate and Shahaganj areas in the past. However, neither the City Chowk nor the Kranti Chowk police have been able to solve any of these cases.
