Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Students were indulged in mass copying in the English subject paper on the first day of the HSC examination with the help of teachers at the examination centre in Jaitapur in Kannad tehsil.
A team led by Secondary Education Officer Ashwini Lathkar visited the centre and exposed mass copying. A case was registered against 24 people at the Deogaon Rangari police station. Three teachers from the Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools were suspended on the same day.
However, an order was given to the private institution to suspend the remaining 18 teachers and employees. The institution immediately investigated and issued work orders for the suspension of 18 people on Monday.
The mass copying was exposed in the Rashtriya Madhyamik and Uccha Madhyamik Prashala run by the Rashtriya Charitable Trust in Jaitapur.
The mass copying was done with the consent of the teachers, employees and the sitting team assigned to that centre. Based on CCTV footage and official reports, all the employees were ordered to be suspended.
Accordingly, after investigation, it was clear that some teachers and servants on duty at the concerned examination centre had violated the examination rules. Ashwini Lathkar said that suspension action was taken as per the service rules.
