JNEC declared Gold Ranking Institute in AICTE-CII survey on industry-institute interaction

Aurangabad, Jan 14: Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JNEC) of Mahatma Gandhi Mission University (MGMU) has been judged as the Gold category institute in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) annual survey for the year 2020.

The industry-linked technical institute survey assesses all major technical and management institutions and universities in India on the basis of interaction between industries and institutes. It considers major parameters such as governance, curriculum and industry exposure, faculty association with industry, infrastructure developed and utilized by industry, placement and internships offered to students and services offered to industry through projects.

After the detailed final survey of 814 shortlisted institutions, Platinum, Gold and Silver rankings were announced.

Shrikrishna Pawar, incharge of Industry Interaction Cell (IIC), JNEC said, “Efforts were made for bridging the gap between industry and academia through initiatives like industry projects, participation in innovation challenges, industry visits and development of industry curated curriculum.”

Dr Harirang Shinde, principal, JNEC said, “Strategic decision of establishing a dedicated IIC in year 2018 has delivered results now.”

“Signing of memorandum of Association with more than 30 multinational and local industries helps us in developing employability of our students,” said vice-principal Dr Vijaya Musande. Ankushrao Kadam, chancellor of MGM University, Dr Ranjan Velukar, pro-chancellor, Dr Sudhir Gavhane, vice-chancellor, Ashish Gadekar, registrar, Pratap Borade, trustee MGM, congratulated the staff for this achievement. Dr Parminder Kaur, head of Training and Placement Cell, Dr Abhay Kulkarni, Jitendra Rana credited their industry partners for support.
