Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Teachers of different junior colleges of the district agitated in front of the offices of deputy director of Education and district collector on Monday for their different pending demands including filling vacant posts.
In a memorandum submitted to the School Education Minister through the deputy director, the teachers unions stated that the problems of junior colleges were not solved despite giving assurance many times.

Junior College Teachers Association (MJUNCTA) staged on district and tehsil level for their demands accepted on February 2, 2024 by the Government. The demands included filling 1298 increased posts, the merger of Information Technology teachers, releasing the next instalment of partially aided schools, Assured Career Progress and implementation of an old pension scheme for the teachers who started working part-time or in partially aided colleges before November 1, 2005.
Vice president of M-JUNCTA Ravindra Patil said instead of filling increased posts, orders for the merger of 283 teachers were issued in 2023 and 24, but, they were not giving joining yet.
Other demands of the unions are as follows;
--Stop the online admission process for 11th standard
--Remove corruption of the education field
--Teachers should not be given non-academic work.
