Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Department of Marathi Language and Literature of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will organise Kavi Sammelan for students from various academic departments in the university premises at noon, on February 27 to celebrate Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din.

Poetry with a different perception is being written outside the realm of literature and language.

The young poet presents their issues through poetry in accordance with the times. The awareness and language of the poets from the interdisciplinary field are of a different nature.

Head of the Marathi Department Dr Dasu Vaidya said Kavi Sammelan aims to bring to light some aspects of this new poetry of budding and young poets. Registrar Dr Prashant Amritkar will inaugurate the programme. Coordinator of the programme Dr Kailash Ambhure has appealed to poetry lovers to attend this poetry meet in large numbers.
