Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Kham River is the pride of the historic city. Over a while, the city grew steadily. In the last few decades, there has been neglect towards the Kham riverbed. Hence, in the past five years, the municipal corporation has made efforts to restore the river to its former glory. With the collaboration of companies like Varroc and EcoSattva, work is being done to improve the riverbed even beyond its previous grandeur. The riverbed, extending up to 8 km from the iron bridge in the Cantonment area, has been reinforced with stone pitching. This initiative will benefit the city for many decades to come, which is particularly significant.
