Aurangabad, Nov 28:

The Corona panic has not receded in the minds of the people and the impact can be seen on the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) inter-states bus service even today. The service is getting a lukewarm response from the passengers, the sources said.

The state government has granted permission to MSRTC to start the services with 100 percent passenger capacity. Still, the service was not started for some period due to the Corona Crisis. The service was regularized in the beginning of October. The buses from Aurangabad travel for various other states destinations, including Gangapur, Burhanpur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vijapur, Gulbarga, Nizamabad, Surat, Humnabad, and Hubli. Although the government has granted 100 percent of passengers in the bus, these buses are getting less than 50 percent passengers. The busses are running regularly on these routes except on Ahmedabad. Only Nizamabad bus is getting good response but not the rest. The Nizamabad bus service is getting 82 per cent passengers, Gulbarga 43 percent, Gangapur – 37.42, Surat – 58.82, Vijapur – 27.54, Indore – 27.68.

Central bus stand depot manager S A Shinde said the inter-states buses are getting less response. However, all the buses except Ahmedabad are running regularly, he said.
