Aurangabad, Oct 17:

A seven-years-old girl was kidnapped and an unsuccessful attempt was done to rape her at Wadgaon Kolhati area on Friday wee hours. The accused fled away from the scene. The minor victim returned home and narrated the terror incident to the police. She said that the accused cut her lips with a knife. The police in the preliminary assumptions opined that the kidnapping would have done over old rivalry.

The minor victim was kidnapped and an attempt was made to rape her at the Wadgaon area. Considering the seriousness of the incident, CP, Dr Nikhil Gupta DCP Nikesh Khatmode – Patil, ACP Vivek Saraf, PI Madhukar Sawant, API Vijay Gharde, PI Anil Gaikwad inspected the spot. They gained information from the relatives of the victim. Earlier, her relatives told that the accused bit the girl on the lips. However, she was sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for medical examination and was found that her jaw and lips had injuries. The girl was handed over to the family members after the treatment.

On Saturday, ACP Saraf, PI Sawant API Vijay Gharde and others again visited the spot. The girl told the police in front of the relatives that the accused cut her lips with a knife.

Meanwhile, PI, Sawant has assumed that the kidnapping might have done over old rivalry. So far, seven suspects have been interrogated, and the police are also searching whether the victim''s family had any dispute with anyone, he said.
