An unknown person tampered with the earth switch of a ring main unit on a transformer outside of the Jinsi police station on April 9, causing a five-hour power outage. MSEDCL suffered a loss of Rs 1.02 lakh. Based on a complaint by assistant engineer Sambhaji Athargan, Jinsi police have registered an offence.
