Aurangabad, Nov 11:

The MP and AIMIM state president Imtiaz Jaleel today accused BJP of committing irregularities during the last leg of counting in Bihar Assembly elections, recently. The candidates who were defeated were called from their homes and declared them as winners, stressed Jaleel.

The MP was addressing a press conference, after returning from Bihar election campaign, today afternoon in the city.

" In any elections, the losing candidates guess the situation and leave the venue before the declaration of the results. In Bihar, the defeated candidates were called from home and declared them as winners. To reinstate the power Nitish Kumar and BJP put in all their efforts during the elections," he said.

" AIMIM had fielded 20 candidates in Bihar, out of five candidates got elected. The success is an acknowledgement of efforts we have been putting in Bihar for the past five years. We stood by the people to help them during Covid-19 pandemic situation and natural disaster. Congress is accusing us saying AIMIM had gone to Bihar for the division of votes. It had nominated candidates on 70 seats and could win 19 seats only. The national-level party like Congress should analyse first and see who is responsible for the situation. We had not contested in the bye-elections held in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Why then Congress lost the elections in these states?," said Imtiaz Jaleel.

The influential party like BJP was in the election ring. AIMIM president Asaddudin Owaisi addressed 65 public gatherings for candidates of alliance parties, and I also conducted 60 meetings in Bihar. These efforts got paid-off, said the MP.

There is demand from people that AIMIM should contest the elections in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the party head will decide over whether to contest the Aurangabad Graduate Constituency elections or not? Besides, he will also decide over with whom to ally during the forthcoming Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections, said Jaleel.
