MP Law College stands winner in Moot Court Competition-2026
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Manikchand Pahade Law College team emerged as the winner in the final round of the M P Law College Moot Court Competition-2026, organised by the college at Tapadiya Natyamandir on Sunday.
The two-day Moot Court Competition started on Saturday. The preliminary and semi-final rounds were conducted yesterday. The final round of the competition was hosted today.
Justice Kishore Sant (Judge, Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court) and Justice Ajit Kadethankar (Judge, Kolhapur Circuit Bench of Bombay High Court) were judges for the final round of the competition.
During the prize distribution ceremony, Dr adv Kalpalata Patil (president, M L and G. E. Society) presided over the function. Adv Rajendra Deshmukh (vice president of the education society), advocates D S Kulkarni (Secretary of the Society), J K Wasadikar, S V Adwant, S D Kulkarni, Avinash Deshmukh, Sudhir Patil and B A Dengale graced the event.
Dr Aparna Kottapalle (Principal I/c), Abhay Jadhav, Dr Anju Singh (Coordinator, Moot Court Competition) and others were present.
Justice Ajit Kadethankar stated that a participant's lawyer should never run for money and publicity. Justice Kishore Sant said that democracy cannot survive without advocates.
The framer of the moot problem of the final round, Jay Gavade, was felicitated by the guests. The teams and participants were awarded cash prizes along with trophies as follows;
I) Winner Team cash prize from college and Late adv Sudhakarrao Deshmukh Trophy: MP Law College
II) Runner-up team cash prize from the college and late adv Sudhakarrao
Deshmukh Trophy to School of Legal Studies and Research, MGM University, Chhatrapati
Sambhajinagar
III) Individual Prizes and Trophies.
1. Late adv L N Sirsamkar- Best Petitioner from Final Round, cash prize, and Trophy. Vaishnavi Bhale, MP Law College
2. Best Respondent from Final Round cash prize and Trophy from College -Dhanashree Renguntewar, MP Law College.
3. Late adv Sudhakarrao Deshmukh Trophy for Best Mooter in all rounds. - Vaishnavi Bhale, MP Law College
4. Ghate Foundation-CSN – Best Mooter Trophy for Preliminary Round awarded to Vidhi Kochar, School of Legal Studies and Research, M G M University.
5. Best Memorial prize from Final Round -Vaishnavi Bhale, M P Law College
