Aurangabad, Nov 10:

All the three coalition partners of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) decided to field only one candidate in each Legislative Council election constituency across the State.

This was decided in a meeting of three partners leaders.

As per the policy, leaders and activists will do canvassing for the sitting legislator of the Constituency. Hopes of Shiv Sena aspirants to contest election were diminished because of this policy. Some of them even started preparations to file nomination papers.

Now, they will have to work for MVA candidate. It seems that there will be a direct flight between MVA and BJP. The seat from Marathwada Constituency has been left for NCP candidate who will contest the election with the help of Congress and Sena leaders.

The same formula was fixed for other Constituencies also. Sena has fielded candidates in Marathwada Constituency in the past few elections. But, this time around, Congress, NCP and Sena will contest as an alliance. Sena District chief and MLC Ambadas Danve said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery instructed them to work for MVA candidate. He said that his party would be with Aghadi’s candidate.
