Aurangabad, Nov 2:

The trumpet of Marathwada Graduate Constituency election blown with the announced of its schedule on Monday.The election will be held between 8 am to 5 pm, on December 1 while the model code of conduct came into effect at 5 pm today.The Election Commission of India (ECI) will issue election notification on November 5 while the last date of filing nomination papers will be November 12.The scrutiny of nominations will be done on November 13.

The last date of withdrawal of nomination papers is November 17. The counting of votes will be carried out on December 3. The election process will be completed by December 7.The detail of polling booths, selection of place, name of the building is being fixed for the election.

There are 813 polling booths in the eight districts of Marathwada with 3.30 lakh voters.It may be noted that the term of five State Legislative Council members including Satish Chavan from Marathwada Graduate Constituency ended on July 19, 2020.

The elections were to be held before the end of candidates, but because of the spread of Novel coronavirus, the ECI decided to postpone it.The implementation of all measures of COVID will continue even in elections.
