Aurangabad, Dec 31:

The annual fair and programmes held on the death anniversary of Nipat Niranjan Maharaj will not be held this year. However, a Bhagwat Katha has been organized since January 2. The temple trust will also be felicitating the Covid warriors and sports players on January 8, said temple trust secretary Vinayak Pandey.

Giving more information, Pandey said that the yatra has been canceled due to coronavirus. There will be no wrestling competition, but since January 2, a Bhagwat Katha has been organized in the temple premises. Swami Rameshwarananda Saraswati Maharaj of Vyaspur Ashram at Lavhali will narrate the story from 11 am to 5 pm. The katha will end on January 8 with Mahaprasada. On the same day, Covid warriors and meritorious players will be felicitated. From this year onwards, the temple trust will adopt sports 11 players from poor families. This includes 4 cricketers, 3 wrestlers, 2 athletics players and 2 basketball players. Pandey said sports equipment and food would be provided to the players by the trust throughout the year.
