Aurangabad, Jan 6:

Notorious goon on the police record Tipya alias Javed Khan attacked a lawyer at a hotel at Central Bus Stand area on Tuesday night. The injured lawyer after the incident went to the Kranti Chowk police station and lodged a complaint. A case was registered late night on Wednesday.

Police said, complainant Adv Ratnakar Chaure (Sanjeevan Apartment, Jaisinghpura) had gone as a mediator in a dispute between two groups at a hotel near Hotel Kartiki at Central Bus Stand area on Tuesday night. Tipya with his five accomplices had also came to the hotel. While Adv Chaure was leaving the hotel. Tipya and his accomplices attacked him and severely beat him. Meanwhile, some people intervened and Adv Chaure went away in an auto-rickshaw. Meanwhile, he informed about the incident to Kranti Chowk police statin PI, Dr Darade. He told Chaure to lodged a complaint at the police station. The officer on duty at night gave him a letter and sent him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for medical checkup. Adv Chaure after the treatment came again at Kranti Chowk police station and lodged a complaint, PI, Dr Darade said.

Earlier, the then commissioner of police, Chiranjeev Prasad had detained Shaikh Javed alias Tipya (Pundliknagar, Garkheda) at Harsul prison due to his increased criminal activities at Pundliknagar and Garkheda area. Recently, he was in the news as he in inebriated condition danced with a girlfriend on the roof of the car on Pundliknagar Road.
