Objects used by Dr Babasaheb provided inspiration

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The 'Heritage Walk' jointly organised by Milind College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation and INTACH at the Milind College campus on Sunday drew an enthusiastic response.

Many people were left speechless upon seeing the objects used by Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The college has preserved objects used by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, rare photographs, and important rare books annotated by him. All of these were opened for history enthusiasts at Nagsenvan campus, hallowed by the footsteps of Dr Babasaheb.

The walk began with a floral tribute to Dr Babasaheb's statue in the Lumbini Van within the Milind College campus, followed by Buddha Vandana. Those present included Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat, Mayor Sameer Rajurkar, Standing Committee Chairman Anil Makariye, Corporator Rashidmamu, Principal of Milind Arts College Dr Vaishali Pradhan, Principal of the Science College Dr R S Yannavar,

Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Co-coordinator adv Swapnil Joshi and CSMC Deputy Commissioner, Ankush Pandhare.

Revisiting Memories

Adv Swapnil Joshi delivered the introductory address on behalf of INTACH. Principal Dr Vaishali Pradhan and INTACH member Sanket Kulkarni shared memories of the buildings within the Milind College campus and Dr Babasaheb's stay in the city. The college also has a small museum, which houses objects used by Dr Ambedkar, including utensils, a chair, a mattress, and other personal belongings.
