Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Congress party will contest all 115 municipal corporation wards independently, and as part of its preparation, it will launch a special campaign titled ‘Nirikshak Aplya Dari’ (Observer at Your Door), announced City Observer of Congress MLA Rajesh Rathod at a press conference held at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday.

He was addressing an organisational review meeting, presided over by city president Yusuf Shaikh. At the outset, Gulmandi block president Kishor Tulshibaugwale made an introductory speech. Several Congress leaders including City Kisan Congress President Mahendra Ramandwal, spokesperson Dr Pawan Dongre, former City Congress President Adv. Syed Akram, Umakant Khotkar, Ibrahim Pathan, M K Deshmukh, Jitendra Dehade, Asadullah Shakeel, and Hamad Chaus delivered speeches.

During the meeting, concerns were raised about the irregular water supply, with the city reportedly going without water for 10-10 days at a stretch. Speakers emphasized that the party must take a stand on such issues.

Yusuf Shaikh expressed his strong resolve to see the Congress flag fly high over the Municipal Corporation. Meetings of the Cantonment and Gulmandi blocks were also held during this session.
