Aurangabad, Dec 7:

In the wake of the Bharat Bandh’ on Tuesday, the police are alert and took all the measures to avert any untoward incident in the city and district. The patrolling by the two-wheeler and four-wheeler have been increase in the jurisdiction of all the police station.

The agitating farmers have called Bharat Bandh on December 8. Various political parties, farmers, and social organizations have supported the Bandh. In this backdrop, the police called the officials of these organizations and issued notices. The police directed that stern action will be taken against those breaching the rules as prohibition orders have been imposed and due to Corona crisis.

Three deputy commissioners, four ACPs, 30 PIs, around 70 PSIs and 2,700 policemen will be deployed in the city. Similarly, special bandobast will be deployed at main roads and chowks. The available police force is enough to tackle the situation, and hence the additional police force has not been called, informed commissioner of police, Dr Nikhil Gupta.

Superintendent of Police Mokshada Patil informed that the patrolling in the jurisdiction of all the police stations has been increased, she said.
