Aurangabad, May 29:

The Waluj MIDC police arrested a vehicle thief and seized five motorcycles from his possession Friday night. The police personnel Vinod Nitnaware and Sukhdev Kolhe were patrolling in the Waluj MIDC area at 10 pm. They spotted three persons fighting with each other, in front of a company. The police team reached the spot and held one person, while two others managed to flee. The police detained Amber Vithal Devkar (21, Farshi Phata in Phulambri tehsil) and during the investigation, he revealed that two persons were beating him up as they sustained a dash of his motorcycle. When the police inquired him about the vehicle details, he was unable to give satisfactory replies. The suspicion of the cops arose and when pressed hard, Amber confessed that he had lifted the motorcycle (MH-20-DM- 7252) from ESIC Hospital in Pandharpur on Thursday. The police then seized five motorcycles from his possession.

According to police sources, cases of theft have been registered against Amber at Shillegaon, Khuldabad, Mukundwadi, and Waluj MIDC police stations. Under the supervision of police inspector Madhukar Sawant, assistant sub-inspector Khayyum Pathan, Prakash Gaikwad, Nawab Shaikh, Vinod Nitnaware, Sukhdev Kolhe, Deepak Matlabe, and others took action.
