Aurangabad, Dec 3:

Police seized and returned two bags containing Rs 2 lakh valubles and Rs 36,000 jewellery in each to the passengers who forgot these bags in the auto rickshaws in different incidents.

According to the details, Nanda Arvind Kadam forgot her bag containing jewellery amounting Rs 36,000 in an auto-rickshaw while travelling from Cidco Bus Stand to Gajanan Colony. The rickshaw driver fled away with the bag containing the cash and the jewellery. However, the Pundliknagar police nabbed him at Badnapur after the investigation of the CCTV footage. API, Ghansham Sonawane, Pravin Muley, Deepak Jadhav, Shivaji Gaikwad, Shrimant Gorde Patil, Vijay Gange and Chetan Hiwarale executed the action.

In another incident, some women from Rhohila Gulli were returning from a marriage ceremony in two auto-rickshaws from Lotakaranja on Wednesday evening. However, they forgot a bag containing jewellery and cash amounting Rs 2 lakh in the autorickshaw. They immediately informed about it to the City Chowk police. PI, Sambhaji Pawar and other policemen after checking the CCTV and searched the rickshaw (MH 20 BT 8946). The rickshaw was parked in front of the house of the driver. He was not aware about the bag in the rickshaw and it was as it inside the rickshaw.
