Aurangabad, Dec 25:

The Cidco police have arrested a theif on the charges of burgling two houses in Cidco area and seized from him jewellery amounting Rs 2.75 lakh. The arrested have been identified as Ganesh Janardan Adgale (28, Murlidharnagar, Osmanpura).

Police said, as per the orders of police commissioner, under the guidance of PI Ashok Giri, the special squad including PSI Kalyan Shelke, hawaldar Narsingh Pawar, Subhash Shewale, Swapnil Ratnaparkhe and others were patrolling on December 24 and they received the information that a man has come to a jeweler at TV Centre area to sell the stolen jewellery. The police rushed to the spot and arrested Ganesh. The police seized two gold earrings and chain from his pocket. On investigation, he told that he had stolen the jewellery from two houses at Ayodhyanagar and Sudarshannagar. He told that in July, he stole the jewellery house of Ramesh Shankarrao Barfe and Rajubai Dnyandev Dongre in October. Out of the total jewellery he sold some ornaments to a jeweler earlier. The police seized the stolen jewellery amounting Rs 2.75 lakh until now, informed PI Ashok Giri.
