Aurangabad, Nov 29:

The number of Corona patients which receded at the end of October, has started increased once again after Diwali. However, there is no signs of Corona wave yet. The number of positive patients in the city is heading towards 1000 mark now. Five months back, this figure was around 6000.

It was predicted that the Corona will be on a rise due to the huge rush for Diwali shopping in the city markets. However, there are no signs of Corona wave as expected even after 12 days of Diwali now. The number of patients started increasing since last week. As compared to earlier increase it is negligible. Everyday, around 100 to 125 patients are reported. Hence, the administration is taking all the precautions to avert the spread of CoronaVirus. The RTPCR tests of the passengers coming by plane or train in the city from Delhi and other cities are being conducted, from which 2 to 4 positive patients are reported every day. The patients coming from other places are immediately admitted to the Covod Care Centres for treatment. The district collector has deployed the screening teams at various entry points of the city. Presently, there are 936 positive patients in the city and 169 in the rural areas.
