Aurangabad, June 18: MGM Group of Schools recently organised online a week-long Personal and Professional Development programme for its educators.
Secretary of Mahatma Gandhi Mission Dr Ankushrao Kadam inaugurated the annual programme and encouraged teachers to be lifelong learners and emphasized MGM’s commitment to continual teacher development. On day one, director Dr Aparna Kakkad and deputy director Dr Namrata Jajoo spoke on the Philosophy, Vision, Mission.
On day two, Dr Sudhir Gavhane introduced the teachers to the Future of Education in a digitally driven society. The use of the latest technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence in education were discussed. The next day
Dr Vishal Sangale conducted psychometric testing of teachers.
Dr G Sathish Kumar conducted four sessions on strategies for blended learning, integrating technology into classroom teaching and other related aspects.
Dr Swarup Dutta conducted a session on competency -based education and assessment in which he stressed strongly on the 4 Cs as the 21st century skills – Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication and Creativity.
Prantik Paanigrahi brought out many facets of human behaviour and shared strategies on how to deal with difficult people with varied personality types. Marmabandha Gavhane, screenplay writer from Mumbai, showcased various clippings of movies which were the turning points of media and also shared how media was used to open the minds of the people for social issues related to children and women.
Around 100 educators from MGM Clover Dale School, The MGM School, MGM Sanskar Vidyalaya, MGM First Steps, MGM Junior College and MGM D Ed College participated and gained relevant insights from the mentors in areas of advanced teaching methodologies.
