Shama Mukund Gaikwad (82), a senior resident of Nandanvan Colony, passed away at her residence on Wednesday morning.

She was actively involved in various social and spiritual initiatives. She contributed significantly to the construction of the Maruti Temple and worked with the local Bhajani Mandal. She is survived by her sons Suhas and Nitin, daughter Archana, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and other family members. Her funeral was held at the Cantonment crematorium. Her contribution to community welfare was widely appreciated by local residents.
